Spring is here in the green leaves, colorful blossoms, warmer breezes, and biting insects (they've already left their mark on my pale legs). It's really only just arrived but I'm ready for summer. I don't know why I still get so excited for summer--I'm no longer in school so my routine doesn't change with the season and I don't have a trip abroad planned this year (sigh), but I still long for summer. There's something about summer that feels ripe with possibilities; golden days and warm nights and I just always feel as if something beyond the ordinary could happen. I have low expectations for this summer, but we will see...

so romantic.
ReplyDeleteLove the brights fuschia shirt paired with the soft background. I too long for summer though my school days are far behind me. I think it's because the whole world comes alive that it's so exciting.

ReplyDeleteYour blouse is adorable! And hear hear to an excellent summer! I can't wait for those long days and short nights! xx
ReplyDeleteI like the soft fluttery flow of the top and skirt. :)
ReplyDeletei'm actually looking forward to "ordinary" because i want to relax and chill, but i don't think that happens when you are a mother of two.... ;) either way, i can't wait to hear of any adventures of yours.
I love summer so much. I think that's why I'm always trying to live in hot places... to recreate endless summer (completely not working at the moment). Summer is the time for optimism, freedom, and glowing skin, even if you've stayed up too late.
ReplyDeleteAnd that blouse was my favourite thing from the Family Affairs collection!
love, as always :D
ReplyDeletereally beautiful.
ReplyDeletethe skirt with that red top... perfect.

You should do a spontaneous road trip this summer! Maybe that would satisfy your wanderlust a bit - even if it isn't overseas :)

Summer is just a happier time. Love your blouse btw.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean with always looking forward to summer, even though you don't get the usual 'summer-break'. It's just a season of expectations and some crazy wild/love vibe in the air that makes everything seem like it will turn out all right in the end...
