A Reptition In The Finite Mind

This dress has been sitting in my closet for months. As much as I love the colors and breezy, chiffon, it's a drop-waist dress--a silhouette I almost never wear. Balanced with my favorite cardigan (I think this cardigan makes every outfit infinitely better), I do think it rather "works" on my body and it's nice to have variety. As much as I love a fitted bodice and full skirt, things become boring with repetition.

So lovely Rebecca.

I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the drop waist silhouette. A favorite cardigan can cheer up any outfit. At least, that's what I always say. :)

I'll be honest and say with the cardigan on, I'm not sure I can really see the waistline much one way or the other. I do like this look however, and the shoes you paired with it !

@Kristian, haha no you can't see the waistline--kind of the point for me. haha b/c I don't like it when the waist is so low. :) glad you like the look though!

It's so true, it's nice to try new things. Sometimes it doesn't fit us at all, but other times we find that something we didn't like fits us perfectly.

This is such a beautiful outfit. Certainly breezy without losing the warmth of the colors! It looks really nice with your hair.

I love the drop-waist dresses of the 20's, but like you, I fear that they're not as suited to my figure as dresses with nipped-in waists...but this dress really looks lovely on you, and it's always nice to switch things up once in a while :)

I love it when you wear this cardigan you always pair it perfectly with your outfit. I love the drop waist look but I don't think it works that well for me either. On you it looks lovely!
