Gandy Dancer

You might be able to tell by the redness in my cheeks or the shininess of my face but it was more 80 degrees outside of the trains and a good deal warmer inside them when I took these pictures. These train cars will be quite inhospitable in the height of summer, although I will be gone from this state before then. Thankfully this dress is lightweight enough that I didn't melt into a complete puddle from my brief sojourn here. I'm addicted to the sort of off-beat color of this dress; it's something between purple and grey--I rather like between things that are neither here nor there and defy simple explanation...

I agree, the color of the dress is beautiful! And the red shoes are unexpected but so nice!

I always admire your outfit descriptions, and in this case your stamina in the heat!

it's fantastic. the shoes, and the dress that defies adequate description...they're nice. But you are the one who makes the outfit. I love your smile and the grace with which you wear your clothes.

Hello! This is just to say that I discovered your blog some days ago and since then I've been visiting it daily and I've browsed through it back and forth -- I love it, and I new get ideas to combine already existing items in my wardrobe, and it makes me feel kind of happy to see that I, living in Spain, share the same love for nature as you, living in the US. I also make excursions into the surroundings of my parents' house and I'm amazed at the beauty of nature.

So... Greetings from Spain :D

Yes, it's a great colour. And the second picture of you is absolutely gorgeous. Love how you paired it with the red shoes. And it'll be sad to see the train gone for good! You are going to have so much fun showing all these pics to your kids/grandkids one day. Not only will you be able to show them all your different outfits and hairstyles, but also you will be able to show them all the different places you have been!
