This dress makes me feel like a comet--the vivid shade and metallic crescents draw eyes and compliments and leaves a tiny trail of gold dust behind me. It's a rather romantic vision of a simple dress, but the dress is decidedly eye-catching. I don't usually wear this silhouette or such flasy fabrics, but it's always nice to mix things up.

I love this dress! Reminds me of a Marc Jacobs one from like 6 years ago that I adored (random comment!)

I think you did the foolest mistake in your life when you cut your hair. Also, I think you realise that too, but, sadly, you will just have to wait for it to grow. Depressing thoughts, huh?
ReplyDeleteGreat dress.
ReplyDeleteLove these dusky pictures.

Oh beautiful! You look like a darling little sparrow. I'm so jealous of how stylish and pretty you look with your cute short hair!

@Anonymous, hahaha no! I'm not planning on growing it out at all--I get it cut frequently to maintain this length. Please recognize that your opinion is not everyone's opinion; it's a fallacy to assume that what you like is a universal imperative or representative of absolute taste. I love my short hair.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous, additionally I would never equate some alteration to my physical appearance as the most foolish mistake of my life. There are far more important things to worry about screwing up than what I look like. My worth is not defined by my appearance!
ReplyDelete^ well said! Cute dress, Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteI love that when you were spinning the crescents became little boxes! I just love this dress!
ReplyDeleteIn love with this dress. And I believe I've already told you at least 3 times how much I adore these Sam Edelman sandals, haha. I have them in black and wear them sooo often. They are perfection :) And your hair looks lovely no matter what length!

Ahh it's gorgeous, I love sleeves like these. So floaty and pretty. Well done on your comment to the anonymous rude person!
ReplyDeleteIt really is fun to wear something a little different once in a while, isn't it? You look lovely of course.
ReplyDeleteYou looked cute with long hair and you look cute with short hair. You're totally right, thinking that a HAIRCUT could possibly be your biggest mistake in life is absolutely ridiculous. With the short hair you actually remind me a lot of my best friend, who also looks absolutely gorgeous with a pixie cut. I think your hair is the same color and that cut just lets your features SHINE.
you look so beautiful. as soon as i read the word 'comet' i swear i saw that trail of gold dust for just a brief and magical moment!
ReplyDeletewhen you move to a new location, does it ever feel like 'home' or is that a concept that doesn't quite fit? where or what is 'home' for you?
oh i just read that comment from anonymous and i couldn't help but squeal. nice reply!
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous floatiness!

@Emma, yeah I don't really have a sense of home. Even where my parents moves changes so I can't count their "home" as my home either. I don't really worry about it though--home is when my family gets together, but it's not a set location really.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress, it looks like it's sparkling in that movement picture! Think you look adorable in your pixie cut and sweet in your long hair. I always think life is short, experiement all we want and we live it for ourselves and not others! Go gal!

Haven't you said you wanted to start an "outer space" clothing collection? This can totally be part of it too, just like the galaxy dress. :) It looks so pretty on you.
