After trying out 5 pairs of Benji Frank glasses I chose these and received the final version with my prescription promptly. I quite like them and might even be convinced to wear my glasses out more this winter...but we shall see (they fog up so in winter). The glasses inspired a rather retro-nerd outfit complete with saddle shoes and a shirtdress featuring the cutest print of top hats, bowties, and mustaches. How sweet is the mock bow-tie on the dress? I'm not too comfortable in androgynous clothes, but that little boyish detail is something I can get behind.
This is a lovely outfit. It's a shame you don't like androgynous clothing because I think it would suit you very well. Your outfits when you wear tailored trousers are usually my favourites of yours. Also while I'm complimenting a stranger's appearance on the internet I might as well say, regarding something you wrote on your tumblr about missing your long hair recently, I think you look really amazing with short hair. And if you ever decide to grow it out, you should go back to having a bob because that looked great on you too.
^^^the comment by anna sums up everything i am feeling and thinking about this post, and you in general. (:
and to add: this is yet another amazing set of photos from you and jon. it's kind of like a chicer, more grown-up, version of this post from long ago, which is still one of my favorites from you. this just proves i need easy access to a lake!! haha
lovely photos and cute bow tie! I have almost the exact same glasses except they have really nerdy math symbols on the sides....I may or may not have coloured them in so my glasses wouldn't look so matchy matchy with my husband's, who actually likes math and has the same pair in tortoiseshell.
Love the Dr. Who reference in the title. The latest doctor always says "Bowties are cool."
ReplyDeleteAnd indeed they are! You do a great job of perpetuating that!
Sincerely,
