Life Has No Rehearsals

A good amount of my chaperoning time involves waiting around while the students rehearse. Practices are much more monotoneous when you're not playing or participating. I used some down-time to slip into an empty dance studio next door and snap these pictures. I haven't really spent any time in a space like this since I gave up ballet. I wouldn't classify myself as nostalgic for my childhood, but I definitely get reflective when certain things trigger memories--I always feel so different and separate from who I was when I was younger. Anyway, it was very interesting to be back in that space again.

  2. I knew it wasn't too surprising that you've done ballet some time in your life. I've always been attracted to ballerinas and your figure clearly reminds me of one. Aside from that, I find it interesting that your reflection stares at the readers in the first pic, be it accidental or on purpose.
