Cold days are for libraries. Or cafes or used book stores or movie theatres--basically they're for any activity that keeps you indoors. There's been a lot of cold days lately and although most of my time seems to be spent between the post office, grocery store, or on some other errand I have succeeded in getting a little book store visiting and even a movie outing. While I am very dedicated to getting pictures outside, many days the only nature I need to see can be viewed through my car window as I drive by. The countryside looks like a Charles Wysocki painting and I like it most from a distance.

Welcome to my little blog that blends a bit of nature, fashion, wanderings, and books in this dusty corner of the Internet. I hope you find it a moment of quiet in the wild today.

What a perfect setting.

ReplyDeletecan we all just take a moment to admire the gloriously flawless skin of this pretty lil lady (and i say that in the least creepy way possible).
ReplyDeleteGah, you take such lovely photos. I feel like staying with hot chocolate and books all the time. I've recently found a small quiet library where I can hide away. Just wondering, how do you pluck up the courage to take photos (with your tripod?) in public places like libraries? Do you ask permission too? I'd love to find some empty indoor spots for outfit photos during the winter. www.prettynostalgia.blogspot.co.uk
ReplyDelete@Helena, Well for a public library I just look for a big one and non-peak hours, somewhere no one will notice or hopefully stumble across you. I want to take pictures in some of the cute used book shops by me, but I'd feel obligated to ask for permission first since they're not public spaces and I haven't gotten the courage to ask yet. It's very hard finding indoor spots, that's why I'm still mostly shooting outside despite it being 0 degrees Fahrenheit some days…
