Something about summer always calls to mind the phrase "halcyon days" for me although I don't even know where it I heard it. Everything just becomes awash in golden tones--sunlight glowing warm against the skin, fields fading from new green growth to pale yellow, etc. Anyway, it's quite golden lately and pale dresses with flower crowns never felt more appropriate.
