While my initial impulse for holiday parties is short and sparkly (seriously all of the sequins please!), there's something to be said for going the more demure route. Sequins are flashy, but longer, full skirts are unexpected and more dramatic. The details really make this look so fun too--spiked belt and cheeky tights definitely keep it from being too staid.
What are you dressing up in this winter?

pretty! love the volume of the skirt.
ReplyDeleteThis look is anything but demure! It's so womanly and elegant. Love the rich colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful look, and I think the little detail really make it. I love the writing on the back seam of your tights, and the spiked belt is a great touch. It looks like it would also be good for discouraging unwanted hugging, so that's a bonus.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore this look, especially the gorgeous peplum top with the lovely jewel tones, and those braids! You always accessorise in such an imaginative way, and add the loveliest details.
ReplyDeletep.s- I'm glad you didn't sell this top as it's definitely a keeper! :)
