Outfit: Land Mermaid

I'm getting back into fairytales lately. Like C.S. Lewis said, "some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again." I'm more into the fantastic, but slightly more grim ones than the Disney versions. All of this to say Samantha Pleet seems to design clothes that belong in fairytales. Her galaxy dress looks like it's been sprinkled in star dust and makes me feel like a mermaid.

Susana Clarke writes wonderful stuff that brings faerie into 19th century England. There's even a BBC mini series from her book! And of course, Lewis' inspiration George Macdonald! I feel like we've talked about this before....

There is nothing I don't love about these photos - the dress - the setting, the colour, the sea shell. So so so beautiful.

f you love CS Lewis you should visit the Cregagh Glen in East Belfast - it's near where he grew up and he came up with the land of Narnia while walking around the woods and waterfall. Would be great for a shoot!

So beautiful! Being a slightly darker ginger I look like a ghost when I try and wear pastels, but your hair goes so well with that colour. Much jealous!

You look simply exquisite Rebecca! I absolutely love the little stars on the dress, and the beach-inspired accessories. It's always a delight to see how you put an outfit together.

Best wishes,
