Outfit: A Brief History Of The Wrap Dress

Perhaps few things are more modern and yet classic than the wrap dress, or in the case of this floral dress a faux wrap.
The modern incarnation has only been around since the 1970s (thanks Diane von Furstenberg!) although the basic elements started popping up in American sportswear in the 1930s and 40s. Karina Dresses continues the tradition with American made dresses crafted in Brooklyn. The dresses are easy to fit and easy to wear; they never need ironing, stretch and move perfectly with you--a perfect basic dress to have in your closet. I received this floral dress from Karina Dresses and thought it looked best styled simply; a basic pair of flats, a perfect late summer sun hat, and you're out the door enjoying the last of the warm weather.
