Outfit: Plante

Today I'm wearing the prettiest blue dress by Plante. Plante is a small clothing line based out of New York City; all clothing is made locally and they donate extra material to educational nonprofits. The dress has actually been languishing in my closet for over a month, but the other day the sun came out, the hydrangeas were blooming, and I was inspired to slip it on. The different shades of blue in the dress does match all the tones in a hydrangea bush. It's also kismet to share it now because Plante is having a big sale of their previous collections right now; so if you like this dress you can get it for up to 60% off on their site! If you like their new styles then use the code "EARLYBIRD" for 40% off any of the styles available for pre-sale (these styles won't ship until early 2016).
Fun fact: These are actually my wedding shoes. I wore a pair of silver flats I've had for ages in most of our outdoor photographs because we were walking all over the place and into the woods, but inside for the ceremony, reception, and dance, these were my shoes. I'm actually also wearing Thomas's wedding boutonniere by Heart of Gold Designs as a brooch.

I love how the dress is so flowy and dreamlike. It really seems like it would compliment frolicking in flowers or strolling through a meadow. I love how you incorporate nature in some way in mostly all your posts. By doing so, your blog has a very peaceful aroma, allowing itself to become a happy place.

Love your blog!

I happened to see Plante's show at Charleston Fashion Week this spring. Absolutely loved it, with their cyanotype inspiration, and their pairing of indigo and blush in that show has been on my mind since!
