Summer In The Sun

Green is slow coming and these photographs were taken on one of those days that feels like "summer in the sun and winter in the shade" (to quote Charles Dickens). No one can deny it has been a slow spring, but exciting things are beginning to happen. My housemates have been hosting some friends from Northern Ireland and it's been quite fun to meet some new and interesting people. Every so often it's nice to be forced out of my reclusive ways to try a new diner or explore downtown on a First Friday with new friends. Balmier evenings make such outings imminently more fun--it isn't a pain to linger outside of a store or in a random parking lot. Of course company always helps those moments pass quicker as well. Also, conversations with accents really trigger wanderlust, no? Now when can I pay my own wee visit to Ireland?
