These shoes aren't the most practical for our current conditions, but I was getting tired of wearing boots and really wanted to look like a lady for the day. My sixties inspired sweater called for an equally Audrey inspired look. Eventually I think I'll get closer to this style on a regular basis; vintage and ladylike with a more elegant skirt length and muted palette than I usually favor. Since this sweater is nearly half off right now I am tempted to snatch it up in multiple colors--there can never be enough classic pieces like this in my wardrobe.

Love this look!! The purse seals the deal for me!
ReplyDeleteI really love the simplicity in this outfit and how eye-catching the red accessories [and hair!] are. You look very sophisticated. I have been eyeing this sweater for a while now [love this particular neckline] but have been waiting for sales to hit. I'm curious though, I've never bought anything from Boden [I just window-shop on their website], but could you tell me how this sweater fits? Is it true to american sizing or would you recommend sizing up?
ReplyDeleteYou ALWAYS look like a lady!!! I absolutely LOVE this outfit and I think the shoes may not be practical with the snow, but they really compliment the outfit. I don't know where you come up with so many beautiful outfits but I really enjoy seeing you every day! Keep up the GREAT work!
ReplyDeleteCool outfit! Shoes are pretty nifty!
ReplyDelete@Anna, I'd say the sizing is true to American sizing--or at least I got a size 2 and it fits me like an xsmall sweater usually does.

ReplyDeleteYou are so very Audrey Hepburn. I love everything you post.
ReplyDeleteYou do indeed look very ladylike! I enjoy that there are still touches of whimsy, like the polka dot tights.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sophisticated look! I am afraid to wear heels in the many inches of snow where I live. I'm afraid I will have to stick to my snow boots until spring comes. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was looking through old Bust magazines when i was making collages, and I found a short interview that you did in there. To think it was in there the whole time and I never made the connection! I love the whimsical outfit that you're wearing in the picture for the interview. Blast from the past. ^_^
These are my favorite types of looks from you.
