Outfit: Crimson & Clover

One of my first (and favorite) dresses by Family Affairs was the Crimson & Clover dress in black. I got it back in 2010 and wore it loads that summer and the summers following. I wore it climbing trees in Washington State and took it with me on adventures in Italy where I wore it into a church and forgot to put on my cardigan and got chastised when walking out. Now it sits in the back of my closet waiting for its next adventure, which might be sometime coming because Nina just re-released the Crimson & Clover dress design in different fabrics (like an ice cream print). So now my basic black one has competition with this orange striped dress that reminds me of sherbet and beach getaways. It's the same dress I love--v front, criss-cross tie back, natural waist, full skirt--but a different, cheerier fabric and a few more inches on the hem.

These colors are amazing! Does Thomas take all your pictures now? If so, he captures you perfectly! :)

These pictures are wonderful! The starfish hair pin and your red hair give a slight Little Mermaid feel, which I think is great!

The colors in your photos are always so perfect, but this time, you've outdone yourself! The hair + dress combo is perfection. :)

I love it! How did you do your makeup? It looks different than your usual style but I can't put my finger on what exactly is different. Also your hair is so lovely and I love how the starfish hairpiece adds a nice beach-y touch to your outfit and goes along with the color of the dress making it the perfect outfit for a beautiful summer's day. I love it!

@Sarah Clark, I'm not wearing my usual winged eyeliner; instead I have eyeshadow and a lot of mascara on. tbh, it's from a hair & makeup trial I had for my wedding--I just didn't want to mention that in the post in case the comments swayed my opinion on how to do my hair & makeup for the wedding. :p It's about how I want to look that day, but it's hard to ignore good/bad feedback.

Looooove the color of this dress with the color of your hair! Also, I like the softer eye makeup look on you! That was the first thing I noticed, honestly. You look sweet & innocent. You sort of remind me of Evanna Lynch here! Beautiful.

@rebeccalately he takes my pictures until I have my tripod over here! :) He's not really interested in being a full-time blogger photographer & I like taking my own pics, but it's hard to do that with no tripod!

This look looks absolutely gorgeous! I love how you decided to do a different make up this time. Your red/orange hair suits the orange dress beautifully. The starfish on your hair screams summer so much! That ring you're wearing is incredibly beautiful. It would be an original wedding ring (if it isn't, still an incredibly gorgeous!)
