Deck the Halls

It's officially December, so we're allowed to talk about decorating for the holidays, right? Honestly our decorating started awhile ago. We always get our tree pretty early in November because we travel to my parents for Christmas, so if we waited until December for a tree we'd only get to enjoy it for two weeks before we're gone! This year we also had the added pleasure of decorating a Christmas tree for our village in a local "Festival of Trees;" it was really fun choosing a carol to inspire our tree and come up with some unique ideas to make it stand out. So the festive spirit is going pretty full-force in our household with the Christmas tunes blasting and twinkle lights in nearly every room. My wardrobe is also becoming more merry with gingerbread trimmed sweaters and elegant red dresses like this one by Son de Flor. I love their linen dresses in every season, but this cheerful red one with embroidered collar (a new style they just debuted) feels especially fitting for this time of year. The collar reminds me of a pretty wreath or handmade ornament and the dress still has one of the most important details of all: pockets. I can't think of a more lovely or appropriate dress to kick off the start of December and all the lovely festivities of this season! bow-1-5 son de flor-13 son de flor-6-side son de flor-17 son de flor-15 son de flor-1 son de flor-37 son de flor-29-side son de flor-34 son de flor-5

  2. I'm loving all this red. It really pops! I love that the door and your adorable dress match. I put my tree up early too and I'm embarrassed to say that I listen to Christmas songs early on. They make me happy though. Cute pics!

  3. This dress is absolutely stunning on you! x

  4. I love this dress! It goes so well with the countryside atmosphere! ❤

  5. Oh man, that red really is something! We moved recently, so I just finished getting all of our boxes unpacked a couple weeks ago, which means I really haven't started decorating yet. I did put up string lights around the perimeter of our living room, however, and just that makes everything look so much more magical. I can't wait to go out and get a tree, and drag the Christmas decoration box out of the garage!

  6. I'm obsessed with your blog and inspire me so much!
